Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has been a hot topic among players due to its focus on vehicle gameplay and collaborations. However, many have noticed the absence of a crucial healing item this season.
With the release of Chapter 5 Season 3 in Fortnite, players were introduced to a variety of new elements in the battle royale experience. This season placed emphasis on vehicles, Nitro boosts, and Fallout items, resulting in a significant shift in the gameplay meta. This marked a departure from the previous season, which revolved around Greek gods.
Despite the addition of multiple new elements in Season 3, players in Chapter 5 are still lacking some crucial items. While there are alternatives such as Slurp Cacti and Oasis Pools in Wasteland areas for healing, the powerful Med-Mist remains absent.
The Med-Mist was a popular choice among the Fortnite community when Reddit user ‘nateandco’ asked about the consumable they miss the most this season.
After a user suggested that “Med Mist”should have been a permanent healing item, several players pointed out that Chapter 5 allowed for movement while using healing items such as the “de Medkit,”potentially making the Med-Mist less desirable in comparison.

Some other Fortnite players have pointed out that the Med-Mist allows you to run and slide while using it, which is a significant improvement. Furthermore, one user noted that it also has the added benefit of being able to heal your teammates, unlike Medkits and Shield potions which are discarded after one use.
All this speculation led some players to believe that Epic Games is currently working on adjustments to the Med-Mist before reintroducing it in Chapter 5, as the item may be deemed too powerful in comparison to others.
In addition to adding the Nuka-Cola as a new healing item, Chapter 5 Season 3 also included the ability for it to restore both Health and up to 75 Shields. One player commented, “I really enjoy using the Nuka Cola as my primary healing item this season,”while others debated whether this could be the reason for the Med-Mist not being brought back.
It is uncertain whether the Med-Mist will return this season, but we will keep you informed if it does. As the season draws to a close, we often see the return of classic items, so there is a possibility that the Med-Mist and Chug Splash may make a comeback at a later time.
