Fortnite players are buzzing about a concerning detail in the Chapter 5 Season 4 promotional art that hints at the reason behind the sudden disappearance of Supply Llamas.
Supply Llamas made their debut in Fortnite in 2018 during Season 3. These vibrant, piñata-shaped containers were quite elusive, with only three randomly spawning on the island in each match, allowing players to smash or shoot them open for loot.
However, in Chapter 5, everything has changed. The promo art, which features Marvel characters aiming at Doctor Doom, reveals him stepping over a Supply Llama.
This may seem like a minor detail, but after two full seasons without llamas, players are speculating whether Doctor Doom is responsible for their extinction.

On the Fortnite BR subreddit, a user humorously remarked, “So that’s why Llamas haven’t been in the past two seasons.”
Others expressed their astonishment, thinking their lack of luck in finding Supply Llamas was just coincidence. One player reported, “I’ve been playing this game for 4 years and I think I’ve seen like 8 llamas total.” But now, it appears there may be a more sinister explanation for their absence.
Some community members pointed fingers at Dali, September’s Crew Pack skin from the Fuzzy Phenom set. With her llama-themed attire and multiple styles, many joked that she was the true cause of the llamas’ disappearance, given that she’s adorned with more llamas than a single match could contain.
Nevertheless, keen players tried to counter that theory by claiming they spotted Supply Llamas in Fortnite’s Reload mode, which is unrelated to the Doctor Doom or Marvel crossovers.
While Doctor Doom may not be regarded as the most infamous villain in Fortnite’s history by some players, he could very well bear responsibility for the decline of Supply Llamas. Additionally, sitting on a throne made from the rocky remains of The Thing doesn’t bode well for his character either.
