The recent leak of the Fortnitemares 2024 gameplay trailer, ahead of Fortnite’s highly anticipated Halloween update, has ignited excitement among players regarding the potential return of the classic Eddie Brock Venom skin.
Originally scheduled for release, Epic’s 31.40 update for this year’s Fortnitemares event has been postponed until October 12. The announcement came just an hour before its initial launch time.
Nevertheless, the delay hasn’t prevented the emergence of new information, with the PlayStation gameplay trailer surfacing online.
This trailer unveils a multitude of fresh additions that Epic has yet to disclose, highlighting skins inspired by Edward Scissorhands and several Disney antagonists like Cruella, Maleficent, and Captain Hook. However, it was Marvel characters She-Venom and Agony that captured the most attention.
While many players expressed their enthusiasm for these new skins, the buzz quickly shifted to the possibility of bringing back the legendary Eddie Brock skin, which hasn’t appeared in Fortnite for a staggering 1017 days.

One enthusiastic player exclaimed, “I CAN FINALLY GET EDDIE!!!! YIPEEEEEE,” with numerous others chiming in with similar sentiments, expressing disbelief at how close the return seems.
Another user shared, “He’s got to come back surely, I’ll make sure I have V-Bucks ready this time; I missed out due to that terrible server outage during Christmas 2021.”
Conversely, some veteran Fortnite fans were less thrilled about the potential return of the iconic Venom skin. “Please no, it’s my only rare skin,” one stated, and others shared their skepticism.
“I’m not sure… why introduce a new Venom collaboration when they could just bring back the OG Venom skins? I’m doubtful we’ll see Eddie Brock, but I hope so,” another commented.
Adding to the excitement, Brock will soon be making his way back to theaters on October 25 with the premiere of Venom 3: The Last Dance. This has fueled players’ hopes that the Eddie skin will indeed make a comeback, possibly coinciding with the film’s release.
However, it’s crucial to remember that this is purely speculation and should be taken lightly. For now, we can anticipate the addition of the new She-Venom and Agony skins as part of the Fortnitemares 2024 31.40 patch.
The update will also bring a wealth of Halloween-themed content from various major franchises for both Battle Royale and LEGO Fortnite.
