Fortnite Players Express Frustration with Overpowered Weapon in Chapter 5 Season 3

One weapon, introduced in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3, has caused frustration among players due to its high damage and versatility.

As we approach the conclusion of Chapter 5 in Fortnite’s Season 3, it’s difficult not to reflect on the numerous new items and weapons that have been added this season. These include the Mythic Nitro Cars, Nitro Fists, and the recently introduced Magneto Power, which enables players to both deal damage and protect themselves.

Despite the excitement surrounding the Magneto skin in Fortnite, it’s evident that not all players are fans of the weapon that comes with the collaboration. While it may be true that you cannot simultaneously attack and use the Magneto Power as a shield, some players have still deemed the weapon as “overpowered”in a discussion on Reddit.

Fortnite players are fed up with the Magneto Power quest.

“These Magneto Hands are ruining this season for me. I used to enjoy watching the cars, but now I can’t even focus on them due to these overpowered and awful tools. I’ve always been able to find a way around obstacles, but these hands are the worst part of it all.”

Many other players in the comments also shared this view, and several of them specifically noted the excessive damage dealt by the weapon. In fact, some of the comments drew comparisons to Waterbending, which was considered overpowered in the previous season.

“One user commented, ‘You can also fly, and did I mention it does 95 damage in just five shots?’.”

According to one user’s comment, the frustration is not caused by the damage, but by the excessive speed at which the rocks are thrown. Even if the user quickly uses nitro after being hit, there is still no escape from being struck by the rocks at least once more.

They added, “Even if damage and throw speed, added mobility, and the stun lock effect on cars were nerfed, this thing would still be highly effective due to how busted it is.”

“Another person added, “I am capable of handling Magneto and physical altercations, and cars are within my control. However, in the later stages of the game when I have neither, I am often at a disadvantage.”

Despite criticism from one user who called out players using the Magneto Power for having “zero skill,”there are approximately two weeks remaining in the season. Players will need to remain patient in dealing with the Magneto Power until then, unless Fortnite releases a hotfix that makes adjustments to this weapon.
