Fortnite players fear classic PlayStation skin will “never come back”

Players of Fortnite are worried that Kratos’ Shop Section has been removed from the game and the popular PlayStation skin may not make a comeback.

The popular game God of War from PlayStation joined the Fortnite Island as part of the Chapter 2 Season 5 update in December 2020. Along with the addition of Kratos, the update also included a Mimir backbling and a pickaxe modeled after the iconic Leviathan Axe.

Since then, those who were unable to experience the content have eagerly awaited its comeback. There were high expectations for Kratos’ return in April 2024, as it would mark the anniversary of the 2018 game.

The rumors of a skin modeled after PS2-era Kratos were sparked by Fortnite’s Greek myth season the following month.

“There is a growing belief among fans that he may not return, as Fortnite-dedicated accounts such as HYPEX have noted the removal of Kratos’ Shop Section.”

It goes without saying that both Fortnite and Kratos enthusiasts are disappointed by the recent announcement. “The community has been eagerly anticipating this since April,”a Twitter/X user commented with a sad emoji in response to the tweet.

YouTuber Pluto V2 expressed a bleaker perspective in his statement, questioning, “Is it possible that bro will never return?”

A number of other players expressed their disappointment by sharing angry Kratos GIFs, including the one where he throws a computer into the trash.

It should be noted that not only Kratos’ Shop Section, but also several others have been removed from Fortnite by Epic. According to ShiinaBR, Shop Sections for Aliens, Billie Eilish, Daredevil, The Witcher, X-Men, and many others were also discontinued on September 4.

If this is the case, the disclosure of information about upcoming content may serve as a driving force for the decision.

According to commentators on Reddit, it is believed that developers use this method as a means of “cleaning house”due to the fact that shop tabs have not been regularly cleared out.

Currently, Epic has not disclosed any specific information on the subject.
