Fortnite Players Outraged Over Season 4’s Super Style Snub for Best Skin

Epic Games has sparked anger among Fortnite players by omitting a beloved skin from the Battle Pass in Chapter 5 Season 4 Super Styles.

During the fifth chapter of Season 4, Epic Games released Super Styles as additional rewards for the Battle Pass. Within the initial levels of this Marvel-themed season’s battle pass, players have the opportunity to unlock characters such as Gwenpool, Captain Jonesy, and Mysterio.

Super Styles were first introduced in Chapter 2 Season 1 of Fortnite as a way to honor players who dedicated themselves to unlocking all the original skins during the early stages.

Despite fans eagerly anticipating the release of this season’s Super Styles, disappointment arose upon discovering that Mysterio was not included. The highly praised skin, hailed as the “ultimate Battle Pass reward”, was noticeably absent from the Super Styles collection.

Fortnite’s latest Super Styles lineup for Chapter 5 Season 4 includes a Captain Jonesy donning a fiery green outfit with a blue and silver shield, Emma Frost with blue flames, Gwenpool in green, and both War Machine and Shuri clad in red flames.

On Reddit, the response was quick and full of sarcasm. A user commented, “It seems like the developers purposely chose the character with the coolest super style just to not give it to them.”

Some users expressed their dissatisfaction with Super Styles as a whole, with one lamenting, “It’s Mysteriover,”and another stating, “I’m not a fan of superstyles as a concept. It often feels lazy to me.”

Many supporters were anticipating unique designs such as comic foils, rather than the standard uncommon, rare, and legendary choices.

On Twitter, the Fortnite news account FortniteAssist commented, “You should have chosen comic foils,”with another user suggesting, “Instead of uncommon, rare, and legendary, you could have gone with comic styles.”

Despite Epic Games’ recent changes, the Super Styles have consistently disappointed players. While they have introduced a storm change that results in instant death in Fortnite Reload and switched to a non-exclusive model for Battle Pass items, the Super Styles have remained unchanged.
