Fortnite players recall Sweaty Battle Pass following Superhero Day

After Superhero Day, Fortnite players are reflecting on a challenging Battle Pass that required a lot of hard work in the past.

To commemorate Superhero Day, Fortnite players are reminiscing about the beloved superhero crossover in the Chapter 2 Season 4: Nexus War seasonal update, which brought iconic Marvel characters into the game.

The Battle Pass primarily centered on Marvel skins, and obtaining them and reaching level 200 demanded a significant amount of dedication. Despite Epic’s introduction of various challenges, additional Mythics, an LTM, and a live event, some players still faced a challenging climb to level up.

A Redditor inquired if anyone had completed the Nexus War Battle Pass, prompting another player to respond, “I don’t understand how I didn’t reach a higher level. I participated in 437 matches, won 89 of them, and I’m certain I completed all the quests and collected all the coins. After that, I took a break and returned for Chapter 5 Season 1.”

A few players expressed their concerns about the excessive grind they had to endure, with the requirement to complete every single quest across all the unbalanced LTMs. They fondly remember the days when they had access to unlimited quests that granted 1K XP each, and they could even stack multiple quests in a single match.

One player recalls, “I was lucky enough to acquire all the super styles in one season. It was definitely one of my favorites, but I do wish Epic would make collaborations available for purchase in the shop rather than exclusively in Battle Passes. It would be great if they also included the normal styles for everyone and even added some quests to obtain the super styles.”

Players of Fortnite are well-versed in the process of grinding through a Battle Pass in order to maximize their investment. Every season, they put in the effort to reach level 200 and access all the rewards offered in the pass, including the Bonus Rewards section which is only accessible beyond level 100.

Epic consistently releases a multitude of quests each season that, once completed, aid in expedited leveling. Additionally, the introduction of three new game modes and UEFN maps provides players with additional XP, further facilitating the leveling process.

Despite the limitations in Chapter 2 where players were only able to gain XP through Battle Royale and Creative, they now have a plethora of options at their disposal. Looking back, players often wish they had the same variety of methods available to them back then as they do now.
