Fortnite players unhappy with ‘boring’ Chapter 5 Season 2 drag

Fortnite players have expressed frustration over some drag in the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass.

With the latest Chapter 5, Season 2 of Fortnite, bringing a Greek mythology-inspired theme to the game, players can now obtain new Mythic items and Greek Gods themed skins.

Many of these skins have matching emotes, gliders, and trails that players can equip via the Battle Pass. However, not all of these cosmetics are well received.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Trail Triggers Player Frustration

In Fortnite, trails provide players with unique visual effects when getting off the Battle Bus. While generally a welcome addition to the Battle Pass, it’s clear that most players weren’t that excited about this one.

Who at Epic looked at this contrail and said: “Yeah, let’s release this, players will enjoy having 45% of their screens covered with clouds”? byu/Waltsmann inFortNiteBR

In a thread on Reddit, players mocked the “Stormy Descent of Zeus” drag from the Battle Pass.

Along with an image showing the trail in action, one user wrote: “Who at Epic looked at this trail and said, ‘Yeah let’s run this, players are going to enjoy having 45% of their screen covered in clouds?'”

In the comments, some players did not hesitate to criticize this drag as being “stupid” and “annoying” . One mentioned: “Seriously, this one is super annoying. Especially when the cloud completely forms, and you can’t even see where you land. Too bad, because lightning bolts look really cool.»

One user with the most upvotes even pointed out that the image provided by the author has a “generous angle.”They added: “If you try to look ahead, it blocks the screen even more.»

Another wrote: “I was so excited to unlock the Zeus stuff because it looks awesome. Then I saw this shit. Now Zeus leaves a trail of snow because I need to be able to see where I’m landing.»

Fortnite has a history of releasing certain cosmetics that cover the screen from certain angles, like the Family Guy Chicken skin and the Millennium Falcon glider, and this streak is another addition to the list.
