A recent announcement by Epic has confirmed that Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite will see the introduction of numerous new weapons from the Marvel universe. In response, many fans of the game have advised competitive players to refrain from expressing their complaints in order to avoid potential nerfs.
Epic Games has been generating excitement for the upcoming Absolute Doom season in Fortnite, which will feature a Marvel theme and is set to begin on August 16. Fans were given a preview of what to expect through a live event featuring Doctor Doom and an official trailer showcasing a variety of Marvel characters and their weapons.
Despite this, there has been a plea from numerous enthusiastic fans on social media, directed towards both professional players and highly skilled individuals, to refrain from complaining about them.
On August 12, a player took to the FortniteBR Reddit to express their frustrations, stating, “I hope they don’t make any changes that take away from the fun. I hope they don’t give in to the complaints of competitive players and just let this season be wild and exciting. Those who prefer a more traditional competitive experience can stick to ranked mode.”

At the same time, a post that has gone viral on Twitter/X with over 35 thousand likes reads: “I don’t want to hear anything from the competitive players this season. Not even a single word. Let us enjoy ourselves next season.”
One player responded, “I really hope for this, but unfortunately their voice is louder for Epic to hear.”Another player chimed in, “We definitely deserve it after the nerfs we faced last season.”
Many also suggested that Epic simply split the loot pool to address the reported problem. This practice has been widely used in popular first-person shooter games for many years, such as Call of Duty Ranked Play. In this mode, developers typically restrict certain weapons, items, and gun attachments.
“The options are divided into two pools: one for competitive play and one for casual play. If you prefer a challenging and intense experience, you can join the competitive pool. However, if you’re looking for a more relaxed and enjoyable game, the casual pool may be more suitable, although you may encounter some overpowered tactics.”
Some, on the other hand, commended the balancing changes. “Balance and enjoyment can coexist. I also enjoy using powerful Marvel items, but I don’t want to constantly lose to a long-range Doom beam just because I landed at the wrong location at the start of the game,”expressed one individual.
