Epic Games has announced a price increase for Fortnite’s in-game purchases, including V-Bucks, in select countries. This decision was revealed on September 10, coinciding with the launch of Chapter 5 Season 4. The company cited “factors such as inflation and currency fluctuations” as reasons for adjusting the prices of V-Bucks and content packs.
Similar price hikes were implemented around this time last year due to the same economic challenges. The upcoming changes will take effect on October 14.
The countries impacted by this increase are Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The official announcement indicated that Epic Games plans to adjust prices “around the world on a more regular basis.”
Players residing in these countries can rest assured that their Fortnite Crew subscription prices will not be affected. However, they should prepare for increased costs for V-Bucks and other content packs moving forward.

Fortnite is not alone in implementing price increases, as Riot Games has also raised prices in certain regions by as much as 70% due to global economic pressures.
