Players have noticed that Fortnite’s latest Reload mode brings back beloved weapons and locations from previous chapters. However, they believe that a simple modification could greatly improve the mode’s current state.
The Reload mode, in contrast to the Battle Royale, offers a single, smaller map designed for 40 players. The objective is for the last remaining squad to emerge as the winner. In the event of a teammate’s death, a timer will initiate the process of rebooting them on the island.
Despite its smaller size and player count, the matches on this island are fast-paced. However, if the same map continues to be used, there is a possibility of its long-term popularity being affected. To prevent this, players have proposed the addition of multiple maps to the rotation pool in order to keep the mode more engaging.
After sharing their thoughts on the new mode, ‘V0idflam3′ received a lot of support from players on Reddit. Many even proposed that Reload could be improved by incorporating random maps for each game.
One player proposed a similar approach to Apex Legends in its early days, suggesting that maps and loot pools be rotated every thirty minutes or hour. Additionally, some players suggested segregating the map pools based on the various biomes seen in Fortnite thus far.
As the concept was being praised, another player chimed in, stating, “That would be ideal. However, having multiple modes with different maps could potentially divide the player community too much.”
At this point, Fortnite Reload is a relatively new mode and it is highly likely that the developers will continue to release updates for it, as they have done with LEGO and Fortnite Festival.
In addition to the Reload mode, there are many exciting things planned for future updates of the game, including a new Marvel season. Players have also expressed their concerns about an attachment that is negatively impacting one of the top close-range weapons in the game.
