Recent leaks suggest that the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 may reintroduce an intriguing element connected to the Ripsaw Launcher, a weapon previously featured in the game.

The Ripsaw Launcher made its debut in Chapter 3 Season 3, offering players a unique experience with its ability to fire sawblades. Unfortunately, this formidable weapon was removed from the loot pool in the fourth season and has not made a comeback since. Although the introduction of Chainsaws in Chapter 5 added a fresh layer of excitement, they, too, were short-lived in the competitive landscape of the battle royale.

However, according to emerging insider information, the Ripsaw Launcher may soon be making a return, potentially enhancing gameplay in the next seasonal update.

In November 2024, Fortnite leaker Blortzen uncovered a plugin referred to as “SpikyBird” associated with the battle royale mode. This discovery prompted speculation that it would play a significant role in the ongoing Chapter 6.

On January 7, 2025, Blortzen reiterated the relevance of “SpikyBird,” announcing in a social media post that Chapter 6 Season 2 will feature a gameplay component related to the Ripsaw Launcher.

As noted by prominent Fortnite fan account HYPEX, this revelation serves as the first hint for the upcoming season, slated to launch on February 21.
