The leaked footage of Fortnite’s upcoming collaboration with Pirates of the Caribbean reveals the powerful “Ship in a Bottle”Mythic item.
Just before update 30.20 was released, dataminers for Fortnite were able to discover almost all of the information about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration. This included leaked images of cosmetics such as a brief availability of Jack Sparrow’s skin, as well as details about changes to specific points of interest and the event pass.
The “Ship in a Bottle”Mythic was a particularly intriguing leak, leaving numerous players curious about its mechanics.
Thanks to X users AllyJax and boredcrow24, leaked footage has revealed that the Mythic does exactly what its name suggests – it summons a massive ship to wreak havoc on anything in its path.

Famous Fortnite insider HYPEX provided further details to AllyJax’s leak by sharing gameplay-related information.
Despite the possibility of change, players can anticipate the following from the Mythic:
- Duration will be around one minute, with a max stack of one and players can exit the ship
- 50 damage to players, 5000 to builds, 150 to vehicles
- Does continuous damage
- The ship be damaged, although HYPEX isn’t 100% sure of this part
Despite the excitement from many players who have viewed the leaked footage, there is also a sense of fear regarding the potential nerfs that may come with the item.
One player sneakily referenced the competitive scene by saying, “I can’t wait for it to be taken down a day after its release due to a certain community that will not be named.”
Some individuals also expressed their thoughts on potential nerfs, which have been a common occurrence this season. This can be seen with the significant alterations made to the Nitro Splash in version 30.20.
Another individual also expressed their pirate-inspired aspiration: “A collaboration with One Piece is definitely possible.”
Assuming the timeline remains unchanged, Fortnite players can anticipate the arrival of the POTC collaboration on July 19, immediately following Epic Games’ summer break. As stated earlier, the update will include changes to points of interest, a plethora of new cosmetics, quests to undertake, and the return of previously available items.
