In an exciting development for gamers, the level cap has been officially lifted in Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1, allowing players unprecedented opportunities to advance their ranks. Remarkably, one player has already skyrocketed to Level 1,014.
As Fortnite players began this season on equal footing, many quickly aimed to reach the previous maximum level of 1,000. However, this hasty rush led to some experiencing a sense of regret, as they found themselves unable to progress through the nostalgic Battle Pass after hitting the level ceiling too soon. You can find more details about this predicament here.
Uncertainty loomed around how Epic Games would respond to this unique situation, but the gaming company wasted no time in implementing a swift solution.

As reported by ItsADAMO and documented by ShiinaBR, Epic Games has removed the seasonal level cap for Chapter 6 Season 1. Players can now progress beyond Level 1,000 and continue to unlock rewards from the Battle Pass.

It remains to be seen whether players can continue to level up indefinitely until the arrival of Season 2. However, those who are keen on grinding experience points (XP) will likely navigate this new landscape of possibilities in the coming days, especially considering that advancing to the next level still necessitates 80,000 XP.
This change in the level cap is just one of numerous adjustments related to leveling that have surfaced since the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1 on December 1. The chapter kicked off with a comprehensive XP system overhaul that reduced XP gains across various game modes.
In response to community feedback, Epic Games subsequently enhanced the XP caps in Creative, LEGO, Fortnite OG, and Reload modes. More balancing updates may be on the horizon, especially with new gameplay options like Brick Life and Ballistic—a novel first-person 5v5 experience—slated for release soon.
