Fortnite is gearing up for an exciting new chapter, unveiling a potent Assault Rifle that is expected to significantly influence the weapon meta upon the debut of Chapter 6, Season 1.
On November 27, Fortnite Japan took to their Twitter/X account to share a teaser image, signaling the imminent arrival of Chapter 6 with the message: “Only 4 days left until Chapter 6 begins!”
The teaser showcases glimpses of a fresh map, characterized by a terrain adorned with katanas—rumored to be the Masamune Blades from earlier leaks—a striking cherry blossom tree, and an ancient structure in the backdrop.
In addition to this, the image reveals a revamped version of the Hope skin, first teased in the promotional material for Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters.

The New Pulse Rifle: A Game Changer for Chapter 6 Season 1
At the heart of the reveal lies a newly designed Assault Rifle, poised to become a pivotal element in gameplay. With its robust frame, the new AR appears to be an upgraded rendition of the beloved Pulse Rifle, first introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7.
The original version of the Pulse Rifle, which came in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants, was known for its dual firing modes—Hip Fire and Aimed Fire—similar to the Stark Industries Energy Rifle.
When fired from the hip, it boasts a rapid rate but delivers less damage, while aiming leads to slower fire rates, albeit with enhanced damage and improved first-shot accuracy. As the premier weapon teased in promotional materials for the new season, it highly suggests that this Assault Rifle could dominate the tactical landscape of Chapter 6.
Fans have expressed enthusiasm, with one comment reading, “Finally, a gun,” alongside others exclaiming how “INSANE” the design looks, particularly noting the distinct hit marker icon present on the side of the weapon.
Despite the apparent similarities to the previous Pulse Rifle, Epic Games has yet to verify whether this new iteration is indeed a version of the classic AR or a fresh addition altogether. However, it is widely expected that any new weapon, particularly firearms introduced at the dawn of Chapter 6, will play a crucial role in gameplay dynamics, much like the Enforcer AR and Nemesis AR did at the outset of Chapter 5.
With exciting crossovers featuring characters like Godzilla and Baymax, alongside themes inspired by Japanese Samurai and Mythology, the upcoming season promises a captivating blend of modern and ancient warfare.
