Fortnitemares is one of the most eagerly awaited annual events in Fortnite, and it is slated to return in 2024.
Each year, Fortnite rolls out a series of in-game events, but the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares stands out as one of the most exhilarating. As usual, it promises to be filled with brand new spooky crossovers, cosmetics, quests, and a wealth of surprises.
Here’s everything we currently know about this year’s Fortnitemares as the event approaches.
When does Fortnitemares 2024 begin?
Fortnitemares 2024 is expected to kick off on October 15, 2024, in Fortnite, although this date awaits official confirmation from Epic Games. This information was first revealed by reliable leaker HYPEX, who suggested that it will coincide with the launch of the 30.40 patch update.

Everything coming in the Fortnitemares event
Although Epic has not yet officially announced the Fortnitemares event, its annual release since 2017 suggests it is all but confirmed. Each year, the Battle Royale island undergoes a transformation with fog and festive Halloween decorations to immerse players in the Halloween spirit.
The event is anticipated to feature unique Halloween-themed quests, new NPCs, skins, cosmetics, classic weapons—both new and returning—and of course, crossovers from notable horror franchises.
Leaker Wensoing has also explored the game files and discovered a new Boss NPC set to appear on the map this year.
