Fortnite players are utilizing a combination of these weapons to fully enjoy the Chapter 5 Season 4 experience within the game.
The constantly evolving meta of Fortnite is largely due to the seasonal rotation of the game’s loot pool. In the previous season, players were caught off guard by the sudden dominance of vehicles in the gameplay. However, with the removal of Mythic Cars and Vehicle Mods, a new combination of strategies has emerged in Chapter 5 Season 4.
It has become evident that many players are calling for Captain America’s Shield to be nerfed due to its overwhelming strength. Furthermore, as demonstrated by a player in a Reddit thread, when combined with other items, it can be even more lethal.

In a video they posted, the player impressively used Captain America’s Shield, War Machine’s Auto Turret, and War Machine’s Hover Jets all at once to defeat their enemies.
Although Captain America’s Shield deals a significant amount of damage, it cannot be used to block incoming damage while simultaneously shooting at enemies. This is not the case with War Machine’s Auto Turret, which allows for both attacking and defensive capabilities.
The turret operates automatically and does not require you to manually switch to it in order to fire at nearby enemies within its range.
When paired with Captain America’s Shield, the turret not only provides protection while weakening enemies, but also allows for the option to inflict extra damage by hurling the shield, creating a powerful combination.
Additionally, utilizing the jetpack allowed the player to shoot projectiles at their adversaries while suspended in mid-air. For further protection, they also possessed a Flowberry Fizz to enhance their aerial maneuverability.
After watching this clip, a user commented that the current overpowered combination is the auto turret and shield. They also mentioned that their go-to loadout consists of a longer-range weapon, shield, auto turret, jetpack, and healing items.
One individual mentioned that they were able to play one game last night after putting their child to bed. They found a cap shield in the first chest and were able to easily defeat their opponents with it, similar to what was shown in a video. However, their luck ran out when they encountered another player with the shield.
