Fousey Announces Admission to Mental Health Facility Following Recent Disappearance

Fousey has announced his decision to stay at a mental health facility for 80 days after management reported difficulties in contacting the influencer.

A veteran creator on YouTube, Fousey began streaming on Kick in 2023 following a series of bans on Twitch.

In August 2023, he was taken into custody for a mental health assessment after urgently contacting the Miami Police Department, claiming he was in imminent danger.

He resurfaced online about a year later, updating his followers regarding his mental health in several posts on X. He shared that he continues to feel “trapped in my own mind, suffocating, and battling suicidal thoughts.”

On October 3, 2024, a message was posted on Fousey’s X account soliciting assistance in reaching the streamer, as his team and family expressed serious concerns for his wellbeing.

“If anyone has seen or heard from Yousef, please contact me on Discord or message here. I haven’t heard from him since last night and he missed his flight this morning to Atlanta. The team and his family are worried,” the message stated.

This announcement left fans anxious about Fousey’s condition, prompting many to pour into the comments offering their support.

Later that evening, Fousey’s team shared a screenshot of a text message from the streamer, where he criticized a team member for publicly discussing the situation on X, and confirmed his safety.

“Nadeem. Respectfully, please give me some space and let me be alone. You shouldn’t have gone PUBLIC. Now the entire world thinks I’m crazy again. Maybe I WANT to be left alone? Maybe I’m SICK of EVERYONE micro-managing every second of my life,” he expressed.

“I love and respect you all, but yesterday’s call was uncalled for. Back to rehab? Really? Because I was ‘content’ in Toronto. Ya’ll got me f**ked up. Please call my mom and fix this. You’ll know where I am when I want you to. I’m safe.”

Shortly after sharing text messages, Fousey went live on his Kick channel to provide additional information about the situation.

During the broadcast, he mentioned that his management is suggesting another hospital visit and disclosed that he would be away for approximately 80 days – just under three months. Fousey uploaded this stream to his YouTube channel titled “Fousey’s Final Goodbye…”

Fousey was scheduled to participate in Dreamhack Atlanta from October 4-6, but it remains uncertain if he will attend after missing his flight.
