Apple Music Won’t Download Songs on iPhone [Fix]

Fix 1 – Check if the subscription is expired

Step 1: Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Click on the Profile Pic icon at the top right corner as shown below.

Step 3: This opens the Account pop-up window on the screen.

Step 4: This shows whether your account has any active subscription.

Step 5: If not, please select the appropriate option to activate the Apple Music subscription.

Fix 2 – Turn Off/On “Show Apple Music”

Step 1: Open the “Settings” page.

Step 2: Select the Music option by clicking on it as shown below.

Step 3: After the Music settings page is open, disable the “Show Apple Music” option by tapping on the toggle button to grey color.

Step 4: Wait for some time and then enable it back again by clicking on its toggle switch once.

Fix 3 – Change the Music settings on your iPhone

Step 1: Launch the “Settings” app and go to the “Music” option.

Step 2: Under the Downloads section, make sure you have enabled the “Download over Mobile Data” option by toggling on the button to green as shown in the below screenshot.

Fix 4 – Clear up the iPhone storage space

If the storage space on your iPhone is already full, this can give rise to such issues as discussed above. So you need to clear the iPhone’s internal space using the below steps.

Step 1: Open the Settings app.

Step 2: Click on General.

Step 3: Go to the iPhone Storage option from the general page.

Step 4: Then wait till it loads the storage details.

Step 5: It will show all the information on what is occupying the storage.

Step 6: You then have to decide what you do not need on your iPhone like any app, large files, unnecessary photos, videos, and so on, and delete them.

Fix 5 – Restart the Apple Music app

Step 1: You have to launch the App Switcher on the iPhone.
