Fragpunk is an exciting 5v5 hero shooter and one of the most anticipated Xbox games currently. The game successfully held a Closed Alpha Test in June, and a Closed Beta is on the way.
Following the success of the Alpha phase, developers are eager to provide players with another opportunity to experience Fragpunk, this time with enhanced features. A Closed Beta test was officially announced during the Xbox showcase at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 on September 26.
Fragpunk Closed Beta Release Date
The Fragpunk Closed Beta test is set to launch on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
This Beta will remain accessible until Monday, October 21, 2024, in North America, Europe, LATAM, and Asia (Japan/Korea).

How to Register
The Fragpunk Closed Beta will be available on both Steam and Xbox platforms. Here’s how you can register:

- Click on Request Access under the Join Fragpunk Playtest.

- Gain access to the playtest through social media campaigns on Discord and Twitter.
Once selected, you’ll receive a confirmation email notifying you through Steam or Xbox, depending on your chosen platform.
Playable Characters, Maps, and Game Modes
Nitro is one of the playable characters in Fragpunk’s Closed Beta.
This Closed Beta will introduce several new characters, maps, and game modes. Here’s what players can anticipate:
Maps
- 5 new maps will be added, bringing the total to 9.
- 3 new maps will be introduced for Shardclash (now 6 in total).
- 2 new maps will join Team Deathmatch (totaling 3).
Characters
- Newly added characters include Spider and Sonar.
- The existing roster features Broker, Nitro, Hollowpoint, Jaguar, Pathogen, Zephyr, Corona, Serket, Kismet, and Axon.
- Up to 12 playable characters will be available overall.
Game Modes
- Three new game modes will be introduced: Ranked Shard Clash, New Team Deathmatch, Capture the Core.
- This brings the total number of game modes to 6.
