Former UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has predicted that Mike Tyson will defeat Jake Paul when the two face off in the boxing ring. Ngannou confidently told ‘The Problem Child’ to his face that he will lose.
As the highly anticipated fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson draws near, the combat sports community remains divided on who will come out victorious in Netflix’s inaugural live boxing event on November 15.
Despite WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s concerns that Jake may “destroy”Mike Tyson, Iron Mike’s ex-sparring partner is confident that the retired boxer intends to restrain himself during his fight against Paul in order to avoid causing him serious harm.
PFL fighter and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming match and made it clear to Jake Paul why he is supporting Tyson.
During the September 5 episode of BS w/ Jake Paul, the Cameroonian confidently predicted that Mike would “defeat him by beating his behind.”
The segment starts at 1:14:00.
“I’ve observed Tyson’s movements closely,”Francis said, swiftly adjusting his posture to mimic Mike. “He’s still got his skills.”
Despite not revealing whether the fight would result in a knockout, Ngannou remained certain that Tyson would emerge as the victor.
“He added that Mike was truly unique.”
Despite Ngannou’s prediction, Jake remained unfazed and sought advice from the former UFC champion. He expressed his enjoyment of the competitive spirit and asked for guidance on what to look out for in the fight.
“Ngannou responded, “I have faith that Mike will come out on top. I wouldn’t bet against him, it’s just how I feel.”
Despite Ngannou’s confidence in Tyson, Netflix’s views may differ. According to recent reports, the streaming platform has expressed concerns about Tyson’s fitness for the upcoming match. At 58 years old, Tyson may need to reassure the organizers that he is capable of handling the event.
