Min Kyung-hoon’s Heartwarming Wedding Featured on “Knowing Bros”
During a special broadcast on November 23rd of JTBC’s hit variety show Knowing Bros, the wedding ceremony of beloved entertainer Min Kyung-hoon was delightfully unveiled. The episode highlighted the behind-the-scenes preparations for the wedding, showcasing the camaraderie and humor of the cast members.
The Preparations: A Comedic Yet Heartfelt Approach
Leading up to Min Kyung-hoon’s big day, cast member Seo Jang-hoon proposed a heartfelt initiative: “Having been with him for a decade, shouldn’t we honor him properly? If we leave the planning to Kyung-hoon, it could turn out quirky. Thus, I’ve brought in a world-class director,”as he introduced Shindong to the group.
Shindong, now orchestrating the event, suggested that the team should select an emcee. With a comedic twist, Kim Heechul chimed in, “Ho-dong isn’t going to emcee, and even if Jang-hoon and Sang-min wanted to, they couldn’t. If Young-chul takes the mic, Kyung-hoon’s wedding will be postponed!” His playful remarks about the cast’s single status added to the jovial atmosphere. Shindong then devised a quiz about the groom, tallying scores to help in choosing the emcee. Ultimately, the quiz outcome favored Seo Jang-hoon, but he hesitated, noting, “I’ve never done this before. Weddings should ideally be emceed by those who are happily married.” Shindong then announced that the final decision would consider just 10% from quiz scores and 90% from the couple’s wishes, leading to Kim Heechul being named the emcee. Seo Jang-hoon breathed a sigh of relief, exclaiming, “Thank goodness.” Meanwhile, the members dedicated time to rehearse a celebratory song—Buzz’s “You Don’t Know Man.”
Wedding Day Highlights
As the long-awaited wedding day arrived, Kang Ho-dong greeted the guests, sharing, “I sent Kyung-hoon a heartfelt text yesterday.” However, his comedic query returned, “Is this really Ho-dong? Or were you hacked?” leading to laughter from everyone present. Moments later, Min Kyung-hoon expressed his gratitude towards Kang, creating a touching instance of appreciation.
The ceremony proceeded with Kim Heechul as the master of ceremonies, welcoming groom Min Kyung-hoon into the venue with warmth. During his vows, Min Kyung-hoon conveyed a deep emotional connection to his bride, asking, “Are we walking this path well together? Let’s make sure we keep our promise to hold hands and stroll through life, even as grandparents.” Tears filled his eyes as he listened to his wife’s moving vows, in which she reminisced about their first meeting. “Eighteen years ago, after a concert, we crossed paths during a high-five event. It’s hard to believe this kind-hearted man standing before me is the same person I met so long ago,” she shared, emphasizing his thoughtfulness and appreciation for life’s simple joys. “I decided then to fill our lives with ordinary happiness.”
She concluded with, “Although I never cared much for celebrities, Buzz was the one group I admired. I didn’t follow reality shows, yet I eventually found my path as a variety show producer. Each step led me to you,” delivering her heartfelt sentiments.
Celebratory Performances
Later in the ceremony, the members of Knowing Bros took to the stage for their musical tribute. Lee Soo-geun humorously introduced the performance, saying, “My wife prepared ‘You Don’t Know Man’ for someone other than me,” which drew laughter and added levity. Their performance was filled with harmony and joy, generating smiles from the couple and guests alike. As the song concluded, Lee Soo-geun passed the microphone to Min Kyung-hoon, prompting him to serenade his bride with the chorus, creating a truly romantic moment.
