Since the new From Season 3 teaser trailer was released, there has been one persistent question: who is the character heard screaming in the background? However, a new fan theory has surfaced with a plausible answer.
Season 3 has many questions to address, but considering the horror series’ nature, it may just end up generating more enigmas than it resolves.
Despite not having all the information, one thing is certain: the residents of Fromville will continue to face challenges. The newly released teaser reveals that the monsters have captured Boyd (Harold Perrineau) and are teasing him, suggesting that things will only get harder for the town’s inhabitants.
As the clip comes to a close, the man is seen tied up and attempting to console a woman off-screen who is screaming in agony. Despite his inability to assist her, Boyd cries out, “You’re incredibly strong.”As the woman’s screams become more intense, he repeats, “I understand, I understand, I understand.”
It is highly likely that we will have to wait for the release of From Season 3 this fall to uncover the identity of the mysterious woman. However, many fans are convinced that they have already figured out the answer: Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori). This theory makes perfect sense, considering Fatima’s pregnancy reveal in Season 2.
At first, Fatima was worried upon hearing the news, especially since she was stuck in Fromville and had been told she couldn’t conceive. Ellis (Corteon Moore), the father and Fatima’s partner, shared her concerns and expressed his worries that their child might be born with fangs like the creatures that haunt their town.
One fan speculated on Reddit, “I had a sudden idea that the birth is of Fatima, and for some unknown reason the creatures are observing or participating in the process.”
Another individual also confirmed, “In addition, there seems to be a fourth monster (known as the nurse monster) in the barn, which can be slightly seen in the promo, leading to the assumption of its birth. It is possible that the decision to conceal the nurse monster was intentional.”
A third person chimed in, saying that Boyd’s reaction would be understandable if she is indeed pregnant with his grandchild. A fourth person agreed, questioning why they would be restrained and adding that the line “You’re so strong!”made them think she was in labor.
It is not impossible that Fatima could give birth to a monster, considering the concerns raised in Season 2. One person proposed, “Perhaps she will give birth to a normal baby, but the monsters are waiting for its arrival – the fear of their potential actions is causing great distress for Fatima and Boyd. That would be incredibly cruel.”

However, there is a different perspective on the matter as some believe that the voice in the Season 3 trailer might not be Fatima, but rather Sara (Avery Konrad).
Describing the opening scene of the teaser trailer, in which Boyd is seen returning to town with the lifeless body of an unidentified character, a fan commented, “I believe it is Sara’s voice and Boyd reassuring her of her strength, but it appears as though she ultimately meets her demise and that’s who they are bringing back with them.”
“Based on the fact that it’s currently winter and Mathew’s hair appears longer, I’m willing to bet that it’s either Sara or new characters. The second person chimed in, “I agree, it seems like there may be a time jump.”The third person also agreed, “Yes, it sounds like Sara’s voice screaming.”
Currently, our only option is to make educated guesses and anticipate the arrival of Season 3 this upcoming autumn.
