In Frostpunk 2, managing resources effectively is critical for survival. From the outset, your workforce, fuel, heatstamps, and food are indispensable, making stockpiling these resources essential, as supplies will inevitably deplete. When resources diminish, crime and squalor increase, causing trust to erode and risking your expulsion from the colony. To avert this situation, I’ve outlined how to obtain infinite resources in Frostpunk 2 in this guide.

By creating settlements in Frostpunk 2, you can potentially secure infinite supplies of the following resources:

Coal settlement
Oil settlement
Heatstamps settlement
Research settlement
Fortitude Base
Materials Settlement

Unlocking Settlements for Infinite Resources

To unlock settlements, you must initially research the concept of “Settlement Heating”found in the Heating section of the Idea Tree. If you are playing in Story mode, this option will be inaccessible until you reach a choice between:

Embrace Frost
Defeat The Frost

You will unlock Settlements research upon selecting the ‘Embrace Frost’ option. Once this is available, research it, and whenever your Frostland teams encounter a resource station, you will have the opportunity to convert it into a permanent settlement, securing infinite resources in Frostpunk 2.

Ensure you have at least 2 Logistics Districts established in your base to assign sufficient Frostland Teams for settlements. Additionally, you can enhance your Frostland team count by researching and establishing the Vanguard Logistics Bay, which provides 20 Frostland Teams for each Logistics District.

Settlement Upgrades for Increased Infinite Resources Per Week

Establishing a settlement incurs costs similar to other game mechanics. Typically, you will need to provide:

5 Frostland Teams
Various sources like Materials, Oil, Food, and Goods [Requirements vary based on the source type]

Once a settlement is established, you can begin accruing an infinite supply of that specific resource. Furthermore, you can upgrade these settlements to amplify the quantity of resources received weekly.

To verify if you meet all requirements for upgrading a settlement, hover over the ‘Upgrade Settlement’ option. Boosting your weekly infinite supply is highly advisable for the enduring survival of your colony.
