Frustrating Weapon Change in Warzone Season 6 Ramps Up Visibility Issues

Warzone PC gamers are expressing frustration as they believe that gun smoke has been significantly nerfed in Season 6, which is adversely affecting their visibility during gameplay.

Over the years, Warzone players have experienced numerous visibility issues. Remember the days of Verdansk, where the sun’s rays would blind players?

More recently, players have faced challenges with shadows rendering enemies nearly invisible, along with gun smoke obscuring their crosshairs during heated firefights.

This persistent issue with gun smoke has been a major headache for players, who have noted that it has worsened with increasing bloom effects. This issue is particularly challenging for mouse and keyboard users, as they lack the aim assist to counter the smoke. Unfortunately, this was further aggravated at the beginning of Season 6.

“Gun smoke is way worse after Season 6 update,” Redditor dinzzy lamented, sharing a comparison image to illustrate their point.

“Rip MnK: (,” one frustrated player commented. “Gun smoke shouldn’t even exist; I could care less about the game’s realism,” added another.

“I thought I was the only one who couldn’t see anything when downing players. With gun smoke and smoke grenades thrown everywhere, it feels like I’m engaged in vape warfare,” another player remarked.

Some fans also pointed out that the problem is intensified by the darker environments of the gulag and firing range, a consistent complaint for some time now.

Interestingly, players can mitigate the effects of gun smoke by using select blueprints, often those from the Blackcell variety, which arguably makes it a pay-to-win scenario.

This is not the sole issue arising in Season 6, as the new Bracefire-HC Grip has been reported as “broken,” muting footsteps.
