F.T. Island’s Choi Min-hwan to Appear Backstage at Taiwan Concert Following Prostitution Allegations

On October 25, Chillin International, the organization behind F.T. Island’s concert in Taiwan, made an official statement, announcing, “After considerable deliberation, Choi Min-hwan will be performing from backstage due to personal circumstances, and will not be present on stage.”

The concert organizers expressed their apologies for the disruption and extended their appreciation for the fans’ understanding and ongoing support.

The band F.T. Island was set to interact with fans on October 26 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, as part of their “2024 F.T. Island LIVE ‘Pulse’ in Asia” tour. However, following the controversy surrounding allegations against Choi Min-hwan, he will now perform from the background.

Meanwhile, on October 24, Yulhee, Choi Min-hwan’s former spouse, released a YouTube video clarifying misconceptions and disclosed recordings that suggest Choi’s visits to specific venues. This situation has prompted Choi Min-hwan to step down from KBS 2TV’s “The Return of Superman,” leading authorities to initiate a preliminary investigation.
