In One Piece, Dracule Mihawk is known as the most powerful swordsman in the Grand Line. He initially began his journey as a Marine Hunter, driven by his resentment towards the organization and targeting Marine officers. However, he later formed an alliance with the World Government and was appointed as one of the warlords of the sea.

Regrettably, the warlord system was eventually eliminated, leading Mihawk to join the criminal organization Cross Guild as one of its leaders. But who was accountable for ending the warlord system that disrupted the peace of this skilled swordsman? That role fell to Admiral Fujitora.

Fujitora, known by the alias Isshou, became the successor to ex-Admiral Aoikiji after his battle with current Fleet Admiral Akainu in One Piece. He was chosen through the World Marine Draft. Fujitora played a crucial role in the elimination of the warlord system as he believed that pirates were not deserving of the World Government’s safeguard.

Therefore, it is logical to have a confrontation between these two rather than between Mihawk and Zoro. This can be attributed to their opposing beliefs and principles in life, which hold significant significance throughout the series.

It is inevitable that Blackbeard and Luffy will clash in the series, as both have ambitions of conquering the world. While Luffy’s goal is driven by his dream, Blackbeard’s motivations are purely materialistic.

Despite his previous title as the Marine Hunter, it is clear that Mihawk holds no compassion for humans. In contrast, Fujitora values human life and has even gone as far as to blind himself in response to witnessing the inhumane treatment of others.

Therefore, this renders their confrontation much more logical.

In addition, the name of Fujitora’s sword, the Supreme Grade Yakuza Kasen, links it to Japan’s infamous underground mafia, the Yakuza. Considering Cross Guild’s position as an underground group, it is possible that Fujitora may eventually face Mihawk in the series’ final arc, leading to a clash of their opposing beliefs.

However, this does not eliminate the possibility of Zoro facing a formidable swordsman. As Mihawk is currently considered the strongest swordsman in the Grand Line, whoever defeats him would then take his place.
