Fuslie’s Twitch Comeback: Two Years After Signing with YouTube

Fuslie, a member of 100 Thieves, has announced her much-anticipated return to Twitch, marking a significant moment just over two years after she transitioned from the platform to YouTube.

Her emotional Twitch farewell on August 31, 2022, was filled with tears as viewers flooded the chat with “goodbye,”sparking speculation about her shift to YouTube Gaming.

The rumors were validated on September 6, followed by her inaugural stream on the platform on September 7. During this debut, Fuslie shared that her decision to leave Twitch stemmed from concerns regarding the DMCA policies, noting that she was perilously close to receiving a strike that could jeopardize her account.

On Saturday, October 26, Fuslie reclaimed her Twitch Partner badge, signaling her return to the platform after more than two years. In her announcement, she expressed her intention to engage with her audience through simultaneous streaming on both Twitch and YouTube.

“WE ARE SO BACK!!” she proclaimed in a post on X. “I’ll be trying out multi-streaming on both Twitch & YouTube starting next Tuesday (29th)! I’m endlessly grateful for the incredible two years I had on YouTube and thrilled to return to streaming on Twitch!”

Fuslie was among several prominent streamers who signed contracts with YouTube in 2022, and she is now returning to Twitch, joining the ranks of others making similar moves.

In September, notable names like TimTheTatman, DrLupo, FaZe Swagg, and Sykkuno concluded their exclusive agreements with YouTube and made their way back to Twitch.

Tim and Lupo have adapted well to multi-streaming across both platforms, while Swagg and Sykkuno opted to forgo YouTube altogether to concentrate solely on Twitch.

Meanwhile, dedicated YouTube streamers such as IShowSpeed and Ludwig continue to thrive on that platform, with IShowSpeed recently breaking records, amassing over 1,000,000 live viewers in September 2024, becoming the most-watched English-speaking streamer in history.
