The comeback plans of BIGBANG leader, G-Dragon, were recently shared by netizens in China through a post written by KB Lee’s student, a close friend of G-Dragon. This post caught the attention of fans as it revealed details about G-Dragon’s new album and his upcoming tour. The post mentioned that G-Dragon was finalizing his product at The Black Label studio.
Although G-Dragon left YG at the end of last year, he continues to have a close connection with the renowned producer Teddy, who remains a part of YG. Additionally, Teddy’s label The Black Label is currently home to Taeyang.
According to the source, G-Dragon’s album, which was produced under YG, was set to be released in November 2023. However, on October 25, 2023, drug allegations against G-Dragon caused a stir in the Korean entertainment industry. The baseless accusations persisted for weeks, causing great distress to the BIGBANG leader and resulting in the postponement of the album’s release.
At the start of 2023, G-Dragon unveiled a new project with YG.
This information coincides with the proposed timeline announced by YG and G-Dragon. Specifically, on January 1, 2023, G-Dragon and YG released a video unveiling the G-Division project, signaling G-Dragon’s return to music after a 5-year hiatus since his EP “Kwon Jiyong”.
Following his exoneration, G-Dragon revealed that he would be leaving YG and joining the company known as “Galaxy Corp” , which he referred to as his “new home” . This departure of the renowned artist, who was previously a major asset for YG, had a significant impact on the company’s stock, causing it to drastically decrease. Since parting ways with his former company, G-Dragon has been personally involved in the production of his latest album from start to finish.
After bidding farewell to YG after more than twenty years, G-Dragon wasted no time in resuming his unfinished plans. Most recently, Galaxy Corp. unveiled the extensive schedule for “Dragon.”As per the schedule, he is set to make a comeback in the latter half of 2024, with the possibility of a World Tour also being discussed.
