G-Dragon’s Appointment as Special Professor at KAIST: Happy News Before Comeback

OSEN reported on June 5th that G-Dragon will be awarded a special professorship following his participation in the “Innovate Korea 2024″talk show, which will take place at the Ryu Keun-chul Sports Complex located on KAIST’s main campus in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.

KAIST, the National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST), and Herald Media Group have come together to host “Innovate Korea 2024.”The talk show will feature G-Dragon, along with KAIST President Lee Kwang-hyung and Choi Yong-ho, Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) of his agency Galaxy Corporation.

At the talk show, there is much anticipation for G-Dragon to discuss the future of K-pop, which involves the integration of AI technology with K-content. Fans are also eagerly waiting to see if he will share any updates on his highly anticipated comeback and upcoming album, scheduled for release in the latter half of the year.

G-Dragon conveyed his excitement, stating, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a visiting professor at KAIST, renowned for its production of numerous scientific prodigies. I anticipate a powerful collaboration, or a ‘Big Bang’, as brilliant minds in the fields of science and technology come together with my expertise in entertainment.”

He stated, “The number of individuals utilizing artificial intelligence in the music industry is growing, and this advanced technology allows for a broader range of creative endeavors. With the collaborative development of an AI avatar by Galaxy Corporation and KAIST, I aspire to establish a closer connection with global fans, whom I am unable to frequently meet.”

Ever since joining Galaxy Corporation in December, G-Dragon has displayed a strong fascination with AI-related advancements. In fact, he even made an appearance at the prestigious “CES 2024″electronics-IT expo in Las Vegas this past January.

Currently, G-Dragon is getting ready for a comeback as he prepares to release a new album in the latter half of this year. This upcoming release will mark his first solo album in approximately 7 years, since his previous one in 2017.
