According to recent reports from the music industry, G-Dragon is strongly considering an invitation to perform at the “MAMA Awards” in November. The event, which is organized by CJ ENM, is a prestigious music awards ceremony.
G-Dragon holds a significant bond with the “MAMA Awards” , as he has delivered numerous unforgettable performances as a member of Big Bang. Particularly, his 2014 unit performance with Taeyang is still widely recognized as one of the most iconic moments in the history of “MAMA” .
With G-Dragon’s confirmed comeback later this year, there is a growing sense of anticipation surrounding his potential appearances on various music award shows, including the highly anticipated “MAMA Awards”at the end of the year.
In reference to this matter, a spokesperson from G-Dragon’s management company, Galaxy Corporation, informed Ilgan Sports, “We have been presented with opportunities for numerous exciting performances, including MAMA, however, no decisions have been made at this time.”
The “MAMA Awards”organizer, CJ ENM, chose not to provide any information on whether G-Dragon will be giving a performance at the event.
This year’s “MAMA Awards”will be held on November 21st (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, with additional shows on November 22nd and 23rd at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan.
Despite rumors of an October solo comeback for G-Dragon sparked by broadcaster Park Myung-soo’s statement, his agency has clarified that the exact date has not been confirmed. They stated, “The comeback date for later this year is still being discussed and has not been definitively set for October.”G-Dragon is currently preparing for his highly anticipated return.
Furthermore, it was recently announced that G-Dragon had obtained the trademark for his name from YG Entertainment back in May. This news, coupled with the possibility of a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome by the end of the year, has only added to the excitement and anticipation of fans.
G-Dragon made his debut in 2006 as a member of the group Big Bang. Together, they achieved great success with hit songs such as “Lies”, “Haru Haru”, “Bang Bang Bang”, and “Still Life”. As a solo artist, he has also gained recognition for his popular tracks “That XX”, “Untitled, 2014”, and “Crooked”.
