Los Ratones, the League of Legends professional team led by Caedrel, made waves with their performance at the Red Bull: League of its Own event. Although T1 had some players off-role, Los Ratones showcased impressive teamwork and strong scrimmage results, leaving fans and streamers excited for their potential.
Curious about the team’s prospects in the LEC, I reached out to Thebausffs, a prominent streamer and top laner. He expressed his confidence, claiming he feels he is already outperforming many LEC top laners. His optimism for the team’s future prompted me to ask G2’s legendary mid laner, Caps, for his thoughts on Los Ratones stepping into Europe’s top-tier league.
Caps Weighs In: Los Ratones’ Potential
The interview with Caps occurred right after G2’s match against T1, their competitive encounter fresh on his mind. During our conversation, Caps revealed that he drew inspiration from Thebausffs when he switched roles to top lane for the matchup.
“I’ve been following Los Ratones closely and find them entertaining to watch. Given that it’s off-season, there aren’t many games, but their scrims and performances have been enjoyable,” Caps acknowledged, recognizing Thebausffs’ engaging gameplay style.

“When I played top lane today, I thought about trying out his Kayn and doing some proxy farming but ended up on Trundle, which follows a similar aggressive playstyle,” he recounted, referring to an intense series of 1v2 and 1v3 situations during the game.
However, Caps expressed some reservations about how Los Ratones would fare against established professional teams. After a moment’s reflection, he shared his thoughts:
“I think they still have a journey ahead of them. A top-three finish in the LEC seems overly optimistic. While there are talented individuals on the team, it ultimately comes down to whether Thebaus is willing to dedicate himself seriously to improvement and practice,” he noted.
Baus has a flair for entertainment; the real question is if he can channel that into becoming a true LoL professional.
“The real question mark remains for both Velja and Thebaus. They need to level up to match the competition,” Caps elaborated. “While I think the potential exists, they must push themselves to maximize it.” Caps concluded by expressing a cautious optimism, suggesting that achieving a place within the top six could be within reach.
