Game-breaking Diablo 4 Infernal Hordes Bug Robs Players of Hard-Earned Loot

Since the beginning of Season 5, players of Diablo 4 have come across bugs that are causing issues with progression in the game’s recently introduced Infernal Hordes activity.

D4’s newest mode, Infernal Hordes, allows players to receive substantial rewards upon successfully completing a series of combat challenges that are based on waves.

Despite the general consensus among the community that the mode is one of Diablo 4’s strongest additions, it did have a few flaws upon its launch.

One of the major issues that players have encountered is the presence of glitches that hinder their progress in the activity. According to a post on the Blizzard Forums, there is a bug that prevents loot from appearing and also traps users in the boss room, making it impossible for them to leave.

According to the original poster, the only way to proceed is to log out, as they lost a Tier 3 key due to the error.

“They clarified that the issue had occurred twice in four runs. They speculated that it may have been caused by instantly killing all the bosses, but even when they took the time to defeat each one separately with a few seconds in between, the issue still persisted.”

It appears that this is not an isolated occurrence, as discussions about a similar bug have arisen on Reddit. User SneakyStabbalot posted a screenshot displaying their World Tier 3 run, which concluded without them receiving any of their well-deserved rewards.

“According to the user, after defeating the Council, they encountered a problem where they were unable to leave or teleport, even after 5 attempts. They had to quit the session and reload in order to continue playing.”

Another individual on the official Diablo 4 Forums also shared a problem where they are unable to fulfill the objective of ‘Slay the remaining enemies’ due to the absence of enemies in the area.

Upon playing couch co-op on Series X, the individual observed the error. Curiously, Diablo 4 has also been experiencing a game-breaking local co-op glitch since the beta was released in spring of 2023.

Despite the lack of response from Blizzard, players of Diablo 4 are eagerly anticipating a prompt resolution to the bugs found in the Infernal Hordes mode.
