Game of Thrones’ Favorite Family Returns in House of the Dragon Season 2 Finale

The upcoming Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon will feature the beloved family from Game of Thrones, as House Stark joins the fight.

The events of House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7 have placed Team Black in the most advantageous position for the upcoming battle in the Targaryen Civil War, which is expected to be the most intense one yet.

Thanks to the efforts of Rhaenyra and Jacaerys, the team has successfully claimed several wild dragons, including Silverwing and Vermithor. This increased dragon power gives them a greater chance at defeating the Greens.

The Starks, a beloved family from Game of Thrones, will be aligning with Team Black in the Season 2 finale, increasing their odds of winning the war.

In the trailer for Episode 8 (at 0:03), the banner for House Stark can be seen being carried by a small battalion of men.

This group of northmen, known as the Winter Wolves, has pledged their loyalty to Rhaenyra’s cause. They are also commonly referred to as the Greybeards, as they consist of experienced men who have dedicated their lives to defending the North from wildlings and other perilous beasts.

Despite not being direct descendants of House Stark, the majority of those in the Winter Wolves were called upon by Cregan Stark, the Lord of Winterfell, to fight in battle.

In the first episode, Cregan and Jacaerys convened at the top of the Wall, where the Night’s Watch is stationed.

The Stark lord’s decision to aid Team Black was influenced by his family’s longstanding relationship with Targaryen rulers, including Jaehaerys I Targaryen.

The unwavering commitment of House Stark to fulfilling their oaths and prioritizing the well-being of the realm has solidified their position as the most beloved family in Game of Thrones.

It appears that this family tradition has been passed down for centuries, as Cregan and his men will continue to fight for Team Black throughout the remaining battles of the Dance of the Dragons.
