G-Dragon Takes Center Stage
The celebrated artist G-Dragon was announced as the inaugural recipient of this prestigious award. As he stepped onto the stage with the trophy, G-Dragon warmly greeted the audience, saying, “It’s been a while, MAMA.” He expressed his heartfelt appreciation, stating, “Thank you so much for this meaningful award.”
A Historic Return
During his acceptance speech, G-Dragon reflected on the significance of the moment. “Both personally and as a group, today holds special meaning. It’s my first time back on stage in seven years, and it’s been 17 years since I first appeared at MAMA in 2007. Thank you for making this day even more memorable,” he stated.

In his emotional speech, G-Dragon acknowledged the invaluable support he received throughout his career. “There are so many people I need to thank—from Hyun-suk hyung and the YG family to my new family at Galaxy Corporation, and, of course, my beloved members. Thank you all.” He concluded by addressing his loyal fans, saying, “To the yellow lights that made this triumphant return possible, thank you so much. I’m not sure if this is the kind of award you can win more than once, but if it is, I’ll make sure not to miss out next year either.”
