On October 25, G-DRAGON shared the second teaser image via the official fan account (@fanplusonedotcom), showcasing a blackout monitor displaying the word “Error.” This intriguing visual has sparked considerable interest among his followers.
As the anticipated comeback date for G-DRAGON approaches, this new teaser has intensified the excitement among fans. In contrast to the first teaser, which simply presented a black screen, this image incorporates a clear textual element, suggesting a deeper significance that fans are eager to decipher. The implication of this teaser suggests a genuine possibility that it signals G-DRAGON’s return.
Moreover, according to a report from Star News on October 23, G-DRAGON is in the concluding phases of finalizing a new solo album set for release in early November. Despite strong hints of a comeback this month, including his participation in the tvN variety show “You Quiz on the Block,” he is taking extra time to enhance the album’s quality.
The forthcoming album is anticipated to be a comprehensive collection filled with multiple tracks. Additionally, G-DRAGON is included in the lineup for the “2024 MAMA Awards,” taking place on November 23 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, marking an exciting countdown to his much-awaited return.
On October 21, G-DRAGON stirred excitement by posting a black image on his official fan account without any captions. However, upon altering the brightness of the image, fans discovered the message “loading progress 10%,” amplifying the anticipation surrounding his comeback.
Previously, a report by News1 on the 8th indicated that G-DRAGON had settled on his solo return date as October 25 and was meticulously working on the final touches. This marks his first solo album launch in over seven years, following his second mini-album, “Kwon Ji Yong,”released in June 2017.
Despite these developments, a representative from G-DRAGON’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, informed MK Sports on the afternoon of the 8th, “We are currently adjusting the specific dates related to the comeback. There has been no official confirmation regarding the solo return on the 25th.”
G-DRAGON also surprised fans by making a special guest appearance at Taeyang’s solo concert last month, performing live on stage for the first time in a considerable while, further raising expectations for his comeback as a leading figure in the K-pop industry.
Earlier this month, he wrapped up filming for tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,”where he is expected to discuss his upcoming music during the airing.
Furthermore, G-DRAGON is set to perform with Big Bang alongside Taeyang and Daesung at the Mnet Mama Awards scheduled for November 22 and 23 in Japan.
Interestingly, on August 18, to celebrate his birthday, G-DRAGON launched a new Instagram account named ‘fanplusonedotcom’ as a special gift to his fans on this important day.
Notably, his management company previously hinted at a possible return in the latter half of 2024. However, there is as yet no formal announcement regarding the timeline for his comeback.
