The treatment of the hugely popular character Gojo Satoru in the concluding chapters of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series has left many fans feeling let down. As the strongest sorcerer in the narrative, Gojo played a pivotal role, often central to the storyline, serving as a mentor and essential ally for the heroes. Despite being a supporting character, Gojo’s popularity frequently surpassed that of the series itself. His tragic demise in Chapter 236, at the hands of Sukuna, sparked speculations regarding a possible resurrection—hopes that ultimately went unfulfilled.

The anticipation surrounding Gojo’s return within the Jujutsu Kaisen community was undeniable. Many fans eagerly awaited his comeback in the final chapter, only to find their countless theories and predictions to be in vain. When Gojo finally reappeared, it was in a manner that caught everyone by surprise, leaving them in a state of shock and devastation.

Pay for the Fandom’s Therapy Gege

Many fans contend that Gege Akutami mishandled Satoru Gojo’s character in the final chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen, leaving his death unresolved. Nonetheless, the manga artist did not shy away from depicting a flashback that showcased Gojo’s bond with the main character, Yuji Itadori, adding depth to Gojo’s character, who genuinely desires his students’ success.

However, some readers have expressed strong disagreement with Gege Akutami’s treatment of Gojo’s character development in Chapter 271, feeling it rendered Gojo a mere mockery through a disappointing and inappropriate resolution.

Even though the rest of the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen appear to gradually forget Gojo since he’s mentioned so rarely post the Shinjuku Showdown, he will always remain the most cherished character in the series.
