Gen V Set Photo Shows Rejected Seven Superheroes in Season 2

A set photo, allegedly taken during the production of Gen V Season 2, features Dogknott, The Seven’s rejected supe.

More than a month ago, the Reddit user inlifetroll posted the photo on the Gen V subreddit. They stated, “I’m not a fan of the show, but I saw this person while driving and I’m curious about their identity.”

The image is in line with the production schedule, as the filming of scenes for Gen V Season 2 is set to begin in May.

In addition, the Reddit community was able to uncover that the person wearing the costume is Zach McGowan, known for his role in The 100.

However, unbeknownst to us at the time, McGowan’s new supe, Dogknott, was actually one of the potential candidates being considered for membership in The Seven in The Boys Season 4.

A fellow Redditor has made a connection, posting a screenshot of inlifetroll’s post on Reddit and stating, “According to a photo from the set of Season 2 of Gen V, it appears that Dogknott will be making an appearance.”

It would be logical, considering that Dogknott’s role in The Boys was limited to a mere photograph and a short (and quite graphic) description.

In Season 4 Episode 1, Ashley presents the Vought supes with a series of potential new members, including a photo of him.

As soon as Dogknott’s profile appears, A-Train interrupts, “I thought he was a dog eater.”

However, Deep argues, “He consumed a dog. That’s a significant distinction.”

In addition to this piece of information, his profile also displays his various acting roles, such as the reality series Poundtown with Dogknott, as well as the films Doggie’s Home and Doggie’s Home 2: Old Dog, New Tricks.

Regarding his unique abilities, they are categorized as canine telepathy, cancer detection, enhanced hearing, night vision, and a strong aversion to fireworks.

Despite being a humorous interlude, an actor of McGowan’s caliber would typically have a more significant role. This suggests that his appearance was simply a preview of what he will bring to Gen V Season 2.

The Reddit post has sparked speculation among fans about what his storyline might entail, with one person proposing, “Although the character has a strong bond with dogs, the punchline is simply that he has a genuine love for them, without any sexual connotations.”

“Another retorted, “That’s quite amusing. Deep has led us to believe it would be of a sexual nature, but instead, it cleverly avoids repeating the same joke.”

“Additionally, the third person mentioned that unlike Deep, Dogknott truly prioritizes animal rights and well-being, leading to conflicts with Vought for rejecting sponsorships from companies that harm animals.”

Some individuals are eagerly anticipating seeing McGowan, such as this individual who commented, “He portrayed Ronan in The 100 and is a truly talented actor.”

Another person added, “Although he was amazing in Shameless, it’s difficult to see him in any other roles without thinking of his character. However, he’s still a fantastic actor.”
