Genshin Impact 5.3: Springtide Charms, Lantern Rite 2025 Dates and Rewards

Genshin Impact’s version 5.3 burst onto the scene in early 2025, introducing players to the new character Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, alongside Citlali. The patch also included an engaging Archon Quest and, most excitingly, the much-anticipated Lantern Rite festival.

This year, the festivities of Lantern Rite will unfold in Liyue, transporting players to a vibrant celebration that serves as a delightful diversion from the adventures in Natlan.

1. When is the 2025 Lantern Rite Festival in Genshin Impact?

The Lantern Rite festival, titled Springtide Charms, is slated to begin on January 14, 2025, coinciding with the ongoing events of version 5.3.

Traditionally, Lantern Rite opens a few days prior to the Chinese New Year. While an exact start date for this year has yet to be confirmed, historical patterns suggest that players can expect the event to launch just before the conclusion of the first half of version 5.3, or around a week before the introduction of the second patch.

2. What Rewards Can Players Expect from Lantern Rite 2025?

This year’s Lantern Rite, known as Springtide Charms, offers a plethora of rewards to enhance the player’s experience:

The popular Chronicled Wish Banner returns, featuring a roster of Liyue characters and various weapons. Players can make wishes for their desired character or weapon from a diverse selection provided in the banner.
