Genshin Impact: Free 5-Star Selector Added for Fourth Anniversary Celebration

Genshin Impact announced that a long-awaited addition, a free 5-star selector, will finally be available for its fourth anniversary, much to the excitement of players.

On August 16, 2024, HoYoverse streamed the live release of version 5.0. The developers revealed all the new content that would be included in the upcoming update, along with details of the anniversary rewards.

Among the anniversary rewards, the most unexpected one was the complimentary 5-star selector. This allows players to choose one 5-star character from the standard banner, including Diluc, Keqing, Tighnari, Mona, Qiqi, Dehya, and Jean, at no cost.

The fourth anniversary of Genshin Impact is scheduled for September 28, 2024, indicating that players can anticipate the availability of this selector in phase 2 of version 5.0.

This was a significant update for new players, as receiving an early 5-star unit can greatly aid them in the beginning stages of the game. While these units may not be considered top-tier, even experienced players were pleased, as they have been requesting a similar reward for years.

HoYoverse stated that they will make this an annual event starting from now. Furthermore, the developers plan to include newly added 5-star characters in the standard banners, which will also be accessible through the selector in future years.

In addition to the 5-star selector, players will also be rewarded with 20 free pulls to aid in building pity for the Pyro Archon of Natlan.
