Genshin Impact Natlan Archon Quest: Remnants of the Secret Source Puzzle Solution

In Chapter V: Act IV of the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact, titled “The Rainbow Destined to Burn,”players are tasked with entering the Domain known as “Remnants of the Secret Source.”The objective is to thwart Capitano’s plan for Ley Line reconstruction. Inside this Domain, a puzzle awaits featuring three mechanisms that must be rotated to unlock progress.

Rotating the Mechanisms to Solve the Puzzle in Genshin Impact

To complete the challenge, you will need to rotate the three devices until they showcase an image of a dragon. Engaging with a mechanism will Activate it, causing the wheel to spin continuously until you press Stop.

Mechanism #1

The initial mechanism controls a C-shaped section of the wheel. Activate it, and let it rotate until the closed end of the C faces northwest as depicted. Once the alignment is correct, interact with the mechanism again to stop it. The segment will emit a glow momentarily to indicate successful placement. If it fails to glow, readjust the wheel once more.

Mechanism #2

First, transform into a Yumkasaurus and use its abilities to leap to the upper platform where the arrow indicates. Here lies the second mechanism.

The second mechanism controls three segments, which can complicate the alignment task. It’s best to focus on the bottom segment, where the arrow points. Once activated, please wait until the bottom segment aligns with the image shown above before stopping the mechanism. A glow will confirm correct positioning—if it doesn’t appear, a minor adjustment may be needed.

Mechanism #3

To find the third mechanism, glide to a clearing situated in the southwest of the map. Initially, this mechanism will appear locked; approach it to summon an automaton, which must be defeated to access the mechanism. After unlocking, its functionality is similar to the previous two.

This final mechanism is straightforward; the angle here gives a clear view of the image on the wheel. Activate the mechanism and wait for it to turn until the image aligns with the example shown above, then stop the rotation. A glow will indicate that you have successfully completed this part.

Once you have correctly rotated all three wheels, a cutscene will trigger, revealing a Precious Chest and opening a gate, allowing you to move forward in the quest Domain.
