The roster of Genshin Impact will expand as both Chasca and Ororon are expected to appear in an upcoming character banner. As we prepare for the anticipated 5.2 update, an influx of leaks has surfaced, revealing exciting information about Ororon.

We now have insights into his element and weapon type, along with vital data from a recent datamine and gameplay leaks that outline his abilities and the materials needed for his Ascension.

Is there a release date for Ororon?

As of now, HoYoverse has not disclosed an official release date for Ororon.

He was teased on Genshin Impact’s official X account on October 7, 2024, alongside another new character, Chasca. Typically, HoYoverse hints at the characters slated for future banners right before their update release. This leads us to believe that Ororon is likely to be introduced in the Version 5.2 update.

While the specific release date for the 5.2 update remains unknown, based on the standard six-week update pattern, we can expect it to launch around November 20, 2024.

Ororon’s Element and Weapon

Details regarding Ororon’s rarity have not yet surfaced, but it is confirmed that he wields an Electro Vision and utilizes a Bow. This information has been unveiled through leaks revealing Ororon’s gameplay and abilities, which showcase him dishing out arrows with precision and skill.

Normal Attack

SKILL NAME DESCRIPTION
Normal Attack Executes up to three successive shots using his bow.
Charged Attack Uses a specific amount of stamina to perform a forward kick.
Aimed Shot Charges up for a more precise shot that deals increased damage. Lightning will gather on the arrowhead while aiming. An arrow that’s fully charged will unleash Electro damage. Special: Capable of scanning symbols and graffiti in Natlan, creating effects based on the observed.
Plunging Attack Unleashes a flurry of arrows in mid-air before plummeting to the ground and causing AoE damage upon impact.

Elemental Skill

SKILL NAME DESCRIPTION
Elemental Skill Casts a “Graffiti Bomb”that will bounce between nearby enemies and inflict damage. It will cease after hitting three times or when no more targets are present. Each target can only be hit once.

Elemental Burst

SKILL NAME DESCRIPTION
Elemental Burst Ororon creates a “Psionic Eye” that delivers AoE Electro damage. Psionic Eye: Continually draws nearby enemies’ aggro, redirecting their attacks towards it. It can emit soundwaves and spins, inflicting Electro damage on impacted foes.

Passive Abilities

Ascension Talent 1 When a party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Ororon gains 40 Nightsoul points. For 15 seconds after activating a skill, Ororon recovers 5 Nightsoul points when other characters hit enemies with Hydro or Electro damage. This effect can happen a maximum of 10 times during the duration and can trigger every 0.3 seconds. Nightsoul points can be utilized as follows: If opponents are hit by either a Nightsoul or Electro-Charged attack initiated by characters other than Ororon, and if he possesses 10 or more Nightsoul points, he enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state for 6 seconds, dealing Electro damage equating to 130% of his attack to up to four nearby opponents and consuming 10 Nightsoul points. This can be activated every 1.8 seconds.
Ascension Talent 2 For 15 seconds following the activation of his Elemental Skill, the currently active party member restores 3 Elemental Energy while striking with Hydro or Electro damage. If Ororon is off-field, he will restore 3 Elemental Energy as well, triggering once every second and up to three times within its duration.
Natlan Talent Within a zone affected by Phlogiston Mechanics in Natlan, he can activate Nightsoul Transmission: Ororon. While sprinting, or while in specific movement modes or elevated positions, transitioning to Ororon triggers a lifted leap. Nightsoul Transmission can activate once every 10 seconds.

Ororon’s Constellations

  • Constellation Level 1: The Graffiti Bomb can attack an additional two times, causing affected enemies to endure 60% more damage from “Electric Induction”for 12 seconds.
    • This requires Ascension Talent 1 to be unlocked first.
  • Constellation Level 2: When Ororon’s Elemental Burst strikes 1/2/3/4 or more opponents, his Electro damage dealt increases by 24%/36%/48%/60% for 9 seconds.
  • Constellation Level 3: Enhances the Elemental Burst Level by 3.
    • The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Constellation Level 4: Enhances the rotation speed of soundwaves during the Elemental Burst by 25%.
  • Constellation Level 5: Upgrades Elemental Skill Level by 3.
    • The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Constellation Level 6: Upon consuming Nightsoul points to activate the effect of Ascension Talent 1, the active party member’s ATK increases by 10% for 9 seconds, stacking up to three times. Each stack is treated independently.
    • Furthermore, when using his Elemental Burst, it triggers an attack equivalent to “Electric Induction”without consuming Nightsoul points, dealing Electro damage of 300% of his attack.

Location for Mark of the Binding Blessing

The Mark of the Binding Blessing is dropped by the Holawaqa Ngoubou, a normal boss found in Huitztli Hill, located in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames within Natlan, available for players at level 30 and above.

Locations for Teachings of Kindling/Guide to Kindling/Philosophies of Kindling

Teachings of Kindling can be obtained from the Blazing Ruins domain in Natlan on the following days:

  • Tuesday
  • Friday
  • Sunday

Note that you need to reach Adventure Rank 27 and have a recommended party level of 38 to clear the domain effectively. A team composed of Dendro, Electro, Anemo, and Hydro elements is advisable for optimal performance.

Obtaining Crown of Insight
