With Fontaine in our rearview, Genshin Impact is gradually making its way towards Natlan, its highly anticipated new region. Both returning and new players have been eagerly awaiting the nation of Pyro for quite some time, and with its official announcement, the excitement for version 5.0 is palpable.
The livestream revealed that Genshin Impact 5.0 will introduce a multitude of fresh activities for players to partake in. With the addition of a new region, characters, and special events commemorating the game’s 4th anniversary, version 5.0 promises to be full of unexpected delights.
1. Release Date for Genshin Impact Version 5.0
The new version of Genshin Impact, 5.0, is set to be released on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The game will adhere to its regular maintenance schedule and will be available in all time zones accordingly.

All the events in Genshin Impact 5.0
2.1 Traces of Artistry
The main event featured in Genshin Impact 5.0 is Traces of Artistry. Throughout this event, players will have the opportunity to explore the Natlan region and participate in a variety of mini-games in order to earn rewards.
There will be a total of four mini-games.
- Harvestable: Collect Natlan’s local specialties
- Photograph: Click pictures of Natlan’s wildlife
- Show of Strength: Fight enemies
- Harmonious Whole: Transform into a saurian and collect coins within the time limit (Genshin Version of Subway Surfers)
2.2 Of Thorns and Crowns
In Version 5.0, a combat event called Of Thorns and Crowns has been introduced. The objective is to eliminate as many enemies as possible within the given time limit, in order to achieve a high score and receive rewards.
Mementos of Teyvat
The event is comparable to the Outside the Canvas event, as it also requires players to utilize the Kamera event to capture photos at different spots in Teyvat.
The rewards include Primogems, Mora, and Hero’s Wit.
2.4 Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades
Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades is a game that involves players using the given bombs to blow fish within a set time limit on a tabletop.
The rewards include Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, materials for leveling up weapons, and Enhancement Ores.
2.5 Gift for a New Horizon: A Thank-You Gift
To celebrate Genshin’s 4th anniversary, an event titled “Gift for a New Horizon: A Thank-You Gift”will be held.
Please ensure that you log in and redeem your rewards before the end of Version 5.0 on September 28, 2024.
Brilliant Dawn Daily Login Event for Version 2.6
The Brilliant Dawn event will run from August 30 to September 18, 2024. As part of this event, players can receive 10 Intertwined Fates, Mora, and EXP Materials as daily login rewards.
Quest to Kindle Ancient Flames
An event called “A Quest to Kindle Ancient Flames”will be held to celebrate the 2024 Anniversary of Genshin Impact. During this event, players will have the opportunity to select and obtain one 5-star character from the Wanderlust Invocation banner for free. This chance to invite a character will be open from August 28, 2024, until October 08, 2024.
3. New Characters in the Latest Genshin Impact Update
The upcoming release of Genshin Impact 5.0 will introduce three new characters: Mulani, Kachina, and Kinich.

Mulani, a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user, will be introduced in phase 1 alongside Kazuha. Kachina, a 4-star character, will also be obtainable in the same banner. In phase 2, Kinich, a 5-star Dendro Claymore character, will make their debut alongside Raiden Shogun.
