According to a blog post, fans eagerly anticipating George R.R. Martin’s critique of House of the Dragon Season 2 won’t have to wait much longer.
Despite being the creative force behind the books that served as the basis for Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, George R.R. Martin is not one to shy away from speaking his mind. In recent times, he has become more vocal about his disappointment with House of the Dragon and its portrayal of his narratives.
Martin is preparing to give House of the Dragon a scathing review on his blog, ironically titled “Not A Blog.”He is warning his readers that the review is on its way.
Martin stated in the blog that he dreads writing about the issues with House of the Dragon, but acknowledges that it is necessary and he will do so.
Martin had mentioned this story in an August 28 blog post, but fans also picked up on tension in July when he admitted to intentionally missing a meeting with the House of the Dragon writer’s room in the same post.
Despite praising certain moments and actors in the airing of House of the Dragon Season 2, Martin has not been afraid to voice his opinions on the adaptation. He has expressed his disappointment with certain aspects, specifically the portrayal of Blood & Cheese.
In his blog, Martin wrote that he found the ending to be powerful and described it as a gut punch, particularly for viewers who were unfamiliar with Fire & Blood. However, for those who had read the book, he implied that there would be more details to come.
Despite not addressing his House of the Dragon concerns today, the author’s blog post centered on the annual Burning of Zozobra event. However, it appears that fans will not have to wait much longer to learn about Martin’s difficulties with House of the Dragon.
