Dryleaf Arts is a recently added weapon in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, allowing players to execute impressive martial arts moves. The developers have offered sneak peeks of this unique weapon in pre-release trailers, generating anticipation among players who are eager to test it out.
The quest-linked weapon, Dryleaf Arts, can be difficult to locate, but we have the solution. Here’s a guide on obtaining Dryleaf Arts in the Elden Ring DLC.
Where to find Dryleaf Arts
To obtain Dryleaft Arts, you must engage in a duel with Dryleaf Dane and emerge victorious.
The battle against Dane is not overly challenging. Similar to other human NPCs, he lacks significant poise, allowing you to interrupt his attacks. His fighting style consists of rapid combinations of punches that may surprise you. It is best to maintain some distance, analyze his movements, and then counter accordingly. Be sure to evade his Palm Blast attack, as he takes a moment to charge it before unleashing it.
To reach the duel, you must first defeat Rellana, the Twin Moon Knight, and gain access to the Scadu Atlas region. Once you have arrived, make your way to the site of grace known as Highroad Cross, which is likely to be the first location you discover in the region.
Within this location, you can discover the Monk’s Missive note and the May the Best Win gesture. The note contains information that Dryleaf Dane can be found east of the grace site and that if you want to follow “the way of the warrior,”you must engage in a duel with him.
The ruins are directly east of where you pick up the Monk’s Missive note.
Proceed east as instructed and you will eventually reach Moorth Ruins. Here, you will come across an NPC standing near Miquella’s Cross. Despite attempting to interact with him, he remains unresponsive. Simply perform the May the Best Win gesture in front of him to initiate the duel.
After defeating Dryleaf Dane, you will be transported back to the cross where you can acquire the Dryleaf Arts weapon.
Overview & stats
Dryleaf Arts is a recently introduced hand-to-hand fighting style in Shadow of the Erdtree. Its fluid combination of light and heavy attacks allows for swift and powerful strikes, making it a formidable technique for inflicting significant damage in a matter of seconds.
Despite this, engaging in combat using only your fists puts you at risk of being retaliated against. Therefore, it is important to exercise caution when executing lengthy combinations, particularly when facing the challenging bosses found in the DLC.

Best Build
Due to its focus on speed and agility, the Dryleaf Arts weapon is most effective when used with a DEX build. However, it can still be effective even if you have invested more points in Strength. It is important to upgrade the weapon to +25 and have both STR and DEX at a minimum level of 40.
To succeed in the Ash of War, we suggest choosing the Dryleaf Whirwind. This skill is located near a nearby waterfall, just before reaching the Rauh Ancient Ruins, on the eastern side of grace. It enables the Tarnished to unleash a rapid series of kicks that cause immense damage, making it the perfect choice for this weapon.
In order to avoid being punished, it is important to boost your damage negation stats when utilizing Dryleaf Arts combos. To achieve this, we recommend using spells such as Golden Vow. Since the success of this build relies on your attack power, be sure to enhance it with the help of Flame, Grant Me Strength.
We have a selection of talismans that includes the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and Shattered Stone Talisman. These choices enhance the strength of consecutive attacks, as well as improve the effectiveness of kicking abilities. The Dragoncrest Talisman, in particular, greatly increases our physical damage resistance.
Now that everything else is in order, the only thing remaining is the armor. It ultimately comes down to personal preference, but be careful not to choose anything too heavy or exceed the maximum equip load.
In addition to Dryleaf Arts, there are other new weapons featured in Elden Ring.
