How to Acquire Free Remote Raid Passes in Pokemon Go – Alternative Method

Although it may take some effort, there is another method to acquire Remote Raid Passes at no cost. Simply earn PokeCoins by placing your Pokemon in Gyms to defend them.

To obtain PokeCoins at no cost, follow these instructions:

  • Discover your local surroundings while searching for Gyms that match the color of your team.
  • Don’t forget to leave a Pokemon behind to defend the gym after you have taken control of it.
  • Each hour that a Pokemon successfully defends a gym will result in a set amount of PokeCoins being earned.

Although this method of earning PokeCoins is viable, it is important to mention that the rate is comparatively low since the maximum number of coins that can be earned in a 24-hour period is 50.

If you consistently engage in this activity for an extended period of time, you will eventually accumulate enough coins to trade for Remote Raid Passes in the shop without having to make any real-money purchases.

What are Remote Raid Passes Used for in Pokemon Go?

Remote Raid Passes enable you to participate in nearby Raids through the Nearby screen, eliminating the requirement to physically travel to the location.

Additionally, these items can be utilized to participate in Raid Battles worldwide by accepting an invitation from another Trainer. However, you must first establish a friendship with the Trainer before being able to join their Raids.

By acquiring these Remote Raid Passes, you will have the opportunity to participate in Raids from any location and potentially encounter a Legendary Pokemon.

It is important to remember that players can have a maximum of three Remote Raid Passes in their inventory and can participate in a maximum of five Remote Raids per day.

How to Use a Remote Raid Pass in Pokemon Go

Accessing the Nearby screen is relatively easy when using the passes.

  1. From the main game screen, direct your attention to the bottom right corner.
  2. Beneath the binoculars, there is a bar labeled silhouetted Pokemon – click on that option.
  3. After clicking on the link, a new tab will open and at the top of the page, you will see the option for ‘Raid’.
  4. Choose a raid that is currently in progress and that you would like to be a part of.
  5. If you possess any passes, simply press the large pink ‘Battle‘ button.

After completing the specified task, you will gain access to the remote Raid Battle and be able to progress towards capturing the desired Pokemon.

Although it is an excellent method to participate in Raid Battles from a distance, certain events such as Elite Raids and Shadow Raids do not permit the use of Remote Raid Passes.
