Gathering resources such as Limestone in Hades 2 is significantly simplified compared to its predecessor. However, unlocking certain tools beforehand and being aware of the resource’s location is necessary. Here’s a guide on obtaining Limestone in Hades 2.
How to Find Limestone in Hades 2
In the second area of Hades 2, called Oceanus, players can obtain Limestone by extracting the rocky mineral through mining. However, in order to access Oceanus, players must first defeat the boss Hecate in the previous area, Erebus. Additionally, players will have to complete the first area in each run again in order to return to Oceanus.
Using the Crescent Pick tool is necessary for mining Limestone. This tool can be obtained early in the game for one Ash. It’s worth noting that Melinoë can only equip one tool per run, so be sure to have it equipped at the Silver Pools before beginning the next run.
Limestone commonly appears as a tall stack of greyish slabs and is typically found in the corners of rooms. While it is not guaranteed to spawn in any specific location, there is a possibility for it to appear in any of the rooms within Oceanus. The placement is randomized each time, but it seems to have a higher chance of appearing in the starting room before entering Oceanus proper compared to the battle rooms.
To obtain the resource, make sure to have the Crescent Pick equipped and interact with the Limestone. You can repeat this action multiple times to acquire three Limestone from each mineral deposit. Don’t forget to purchase the Reagent Sensing Incantation as soon as you can, as it will reveal any resources in the room after eliminating all enemies.
The acquisition of Limestone is crucial for purchasing certain Incantations, including the Gathering of Ancient Bones. With this incantation, players can obtain Bones by successfully completing encounters wielding a particular weapon.
