(G)I-DLE Miyeon Apologizes To BTS Jungkook — Here’s Why

Miyeon, a member of (G)I-DLE, hilariously apologized to BTS’s Jungkook.

During a recent live stream, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon joined her junior artists Sohee from RIIZE, Sung Hanbin from ZEROBASEONE, and Jaehyun from BOYNEXTDOOR. As a seasoned music show host, Miyeon entertained viewers with numerous captivating stories.

Miyeon notably shared a memorable moment involving Jungkook from BTS. She recalled, “I remember when Jungkook, our senior, won the weekly trophy and it accidentally broke into two pieces and rolled on the floor. I was in a state of panic at that moment!”

On July 7, 2023, during the “M! Countdown”show, Jungkook’s performance of “Seven (feat. Latto)”earned him first place, surpassing NewJeans. As the results were announced, Miyeon’s hand holding the trophy suddenly broke, causing a moment of panic. However, she quickly composed herself.

Despite not being physically present, Jungkook was still informed about the “incident”and playfully addressed it on Weverse. In a message to fans, he expressed his gratitude for their support and for helping him achieve first place on M! Countdown twice. He also jokingly mentioned watching the live broadcast and witnessing the trophy falling to the ground, thanking everyone for their overwhelming support.

Over a year had passed when Miyeon took the chance to apologize to Jungkook as she remembered the incident. She expressed, “I would like to apologize once more. It was such a memorable mishap!”Fans couldn’t help but chuckle at Miyeon’s apology, finding it amusing that the trophy had broken and how sincerely sorry she appeared for the entire situation.
