(G)I-DLE’s Minnie Shares Story of Her Grandmother Being a Hotel Owner and Wearing a Songkran Festival Outfit Worth Over 1 Billion Won

A YouTube video titled “TALK with a Senior Who Appears to Be on My Side, But Not│Jae friends Ep.43│Kim Jaejoong (G)I-DLE’s Minnie” was published on the channel “Jae friends” on July 11th.

In the video, Minnie was questioned about her residence in Thailand. She responded, “It’s the dwelling where my parents and I reside. It’s quite aged.”

Upon viewing Minnie’s Thai home on (G)I-DLE’s official YouTube channel, Kim Jaejoong exclaimed, “You must be very wealthy. The Blue House and the White House may be old, but they are truly impressive. I noticed that you have a gym and a swimming pool in your own home.”

Minnie explained, “The pool is not located at the house, it’s actually at the hotel.”This revelation left Kim Jaejoong in shock as he exclaimed, “Wait, your grandmother owns the hotel? You truly are a princess.”

Minnie had previously gained recognition for donning traditional Thai clothing at the Songkran Festival in Thailand. Kim Jaejoong inquired, “I assumed those were just rented pieces from the company. Is that not the case? Are they actually from the royal family? I heard those are very difficult to obtain.”

Minnie revealed that the items were once used by royalty in the past and are worth over one billion won. The belt alone costs tens of millions of won and is made of real gold and diamonds, making it very heavy. This required Minnie to maintain an upright posture at all times and she couldn’t even joke around due to the fear of the items falling.

She recalled, “My parents were beaming with happiness the entire day. The other senior actors were all well-known and highly respected. And there I was…I felt so proud to be among them. That day was a challenge for me as I had to wear the same outfit all day in the scorching heat. But when I caught sight of my parents, all my struggles faded away.”
