The revised edition of the well-known TV anime “Gintama,”called “Gintama on Theater 2D: Kintama-hen,”is set to release in Japanese theaters for a limited three-week period beginning on November 22, 2024.

The second Gintama film, titled Gintama on Theater 2D: Ikkoku Keisei-hen, was a compilation of episodes 257 to 261 and adapted the “Courtesan of a Nation Arc”from the anime series. It is set to be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on November 22, 2024. The first film, Gintama on Theater 2D: Thorny Arc, was released in theatres in Japan on November 10, 2023.

About Gintama
In this alternate version of the late-Edo period, humanity is under attack by extraterrestrial beings known as ‘Amanto’. The samurai of Edo Japan must battle to protect Earth, but the shōgun ultimately surrenders in fear upon realizing the immense strength of the aliens.
